VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION – 2nd Quarter
Michael Smith and Michelle Rhodes presented Dianne Whitaker with Volunteer of the Quarter for the 2nd Quarter 2017. Dianne has led the weekly Mah Jongg game for several years, and has been instrumental in continuing to teach new players how to play the game by holding classes continuously throughout the year. VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION – 3rd Quarter
During the Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 16, Brenda Peck was presented with the Volunteer of the Quarter for 3rd Quarter 2017 by Executive Director, Michael Smith. Brenda works on the birthday card committee, and works a couple of shifts a week at the front desk, and is always willing to fill in on additional shifts when other volunteers, and even Mary Ellen, are absent. Thank you Brenda!

Front Desk:
Are you good at answering the phone and greeting customers? Like to keep busy? Like a weekly steady volunteer position? This is the PERFECT position for you!
Activity Leader:
Do you have a hobby you like to share? Want all of the supplies provided for you and your class? Let us know!
Tables and Chairs:
We need someone to help setup and take down tables and chairs weekly and occasionally for events. It is a set schedule, and you will be our hero!
Social Event Servers:
Calling all buffet and beverage servers! Food handler’s permit not required. Help out at a social event and get your meal for free!
Decorators & Clean Up:
Have a creative side? Want to help make our events beautiful? We need you!
Café:
Our volunteers either help with serving or in the kitchen prep-cooking. We reimburse for food handler’s permit, and you get one free meal per shift you work.
Bus Driver:
We need experienced CDL drivers to volunteer to drive our 26 passenger mini-bus. We reimburse for license renewal and medical certification appointments. You also get to join the trip and bring a guest helper for free!
